
Barford & Perkins – dismantling underway…
A team of the Friends workshop volunteers have set about dismantling the Barford & Perkins motor roller, R025. The aim is to break it down into its major components, enabling items such as frames and rolls to be sent off site for shotblasting. The engine and gearbox will need a cradle to house them for restoration, and clearly a lot of the tinwork requires renewal.
