No.18’s first movement…
This afternoon witnessed a milestone in No.18’s restoration, well, reconstruction would probably be a more accurate word, when the engine moved under its own steam for the first time. It was a brief outing, captured here by Andy Martin, and quickly revealed a number of areas requiring further work. This will be fitted in as best as possible over the next couple of weeks as I would still like the engine to debut on the 6/7th October – when there might be one or two other surprise visiting transport items present. Meanwhile, here are Andy’s photos plus a short film that he shot…
