Progress on erecting and drilling Samson’s frame components is well underway, with Dave making full use of the mag-drill to enable the trial assembly by bolting the frames and brackets together.  The footplate has now been added with bunkers atop, giving a very good idea of the scale of this very little engine!  Chris will shortly weld up the upper frame extensions and material for the rear footplate supports is being prepared.  Of course, this all has to come apart again, but it gives a good impression of where we are going with the Samson project…
