Below: Here are a couple of views showing No.18/Lewin with its tank refitted.  Vince has had a real struggle with this particular component, and, as we are dealing with the compromises of 134 years of history and the 1960 and 1975 rebuilds, further compromises are needed in order to get it all to fit!  However, it certainly looks the part now and now that the tank is fitted and brackets to support it modified, work will revert to the pipework.  It is my aim to have it at Beamish by the end of July, circumstances permitting.  There is still much detail to add, and a lot of painting to carry out but Dave and I are keen to see it completed, and after battling the tank, I think Vince is too!
