This morning an RAF Sea King helicopter arrived at Beamish, making a number of dramatic passes for the crowd before landing on the events field and depositing Father Christmas himself!  Santa then made his way, at the head of a transport procession, to the Town, where the Christmas lights were turned on.  Here are some photos of the morning – many more will appear on the main website and Flickr in due course…
