Power from the Past used to be the theme of the first weekend f September four-day event each year, but this year has been replaced with the ‘Dig for Victory’ event, which has rather more agricultural links and focusses on WW2 at Home Farm.  As we had now established the first weekend of the month as ‘Power from the Past’, the two coincided to give much enhanced transport performance as part of the Dig for Victory event – if that makes sense?!

The next two PftPs (Power from the Past) will be October 3/4 and November 7/8.  The former will be our last steam themed one, the latter will look at some of the internal combustion vehicles as well as mark Newcastle tram 114’s 114th birthday!
