Progress continues on several fronts with the chaldron rebuilds. Dave Potter has arrived to make a survey from which he will produce a full parts list and set of drawings of the Londonderry waggons and some of their (many!) variants.

Below: David and Alan compare notes – note the progress in notching out the main frames.

Below: Alan shapes one of the cross members. At this stage the objective is to create a large set of pre-cut parts for final assembly.

Below: David ensconced in the engine works mess room/workshop, transferring his sketches onto computer (using a CAD programme) as well as referring directly to the parts themselves.
