Also in Wales… A day on was spent of each of the wonderful Welsh Highland and Ffestiniog Railways. In superb weather these two railways have long passed the ‘heritage line’ definition, and can now be regarded as a transport system in their own right. Heritage roots are well understood and the heritage train was evident at Boston Lodge (first photo – see also the new Manning Wardle ‘Lyd’ in the background).
