T&I News update 29th November 2012…

Here is a quick update on some of the work the team has been carrying out at the Foulbridge/Regional heritage Engineering Centre workshops…

Below: The floor painting of the main erecting shop is reaching a conclusion and as can be seen here it transforms the appearance of this space.  The horse tram lends useful scale to this view.  Lighting will be installed next, followed by shelving etc.

Below: Gordon is seen at work on the rather unforgiving task of floor painting.

Below: Meanwhile Tony is assembling the benches he made earlier in the year.

Below: Daniel, one of the apprentices, is seen working on a metal storage rack in the developing fabrication shop.

Below: Chris has made this A frame, a universal design to fit numerous vehicles/portables on site.  It still has some cross braces to fit at this stage.

Below: Ian is seen at work enclosing the workshop compressor.
