Some Christmas reading...

Some Christmas reading…

Here is the final post of 2012.  With it I wish all readers a happy Christmas and the very best for 2013.  2012 has been an eventful year and at times challenging, but much has taken place and numerous projects have begun that we will enjoy bringing to fruition over coming years.

In January I will begin to list some of the extensive exhibits for the Great North Festival of Transport in April, there are some amazing vehicles on road and rail that we have invited and it is hoped that we can beat our record attendances from this April.  There will also be a new downloadable stocklist available online in January.  I still hope to have a high quality printed version available, but in the meantime a simplified but updated list will be available here.  I am finalising one or two ‘additions’ at the moment – all of which will be revealed in due course…

For this final posting, Andy Martin has very kindly added five more roadmaking-related trade catalogues to the downloads section.  Again these are scanned by myself at home so apologies for the quality.  Andy then makes the wonderful banners for the links, as seen below.  We have had a few issues with WordPress over the last week or so but hopefully things will settle down.  I cannot claim any credit for the crisp appearance of the blog or the continual software updates – I just write the various ramblings and add the photos – so I must thank Andy for his continual efforts in ensuring the smooth running of this site!
