GNSF – Day 3…

We were greeted by reasonably warm and sunny weather today – and the Museum was busier than anyone can recall – it was packed.  Some nice photo opportunities – a selection appearing below.  No.22 disgraced itself, splitting a set of points, but was re-railed in three hours, to the interest of the inevitable crowd that gathered to watch.  Rocket started work at the Waggonway and Planet continued operation at Rowley – each running with full trains.  A huge variety of cars, motorcycles, cycles and lighter lorries interspersed the road steam engines to create a seemingly endless stream of vintage and veteran traffic, which with the trams had to do battle with a very full and atmospheric Town Street.  The narrow gauge was in full sync with the stone crushing team too.
