Power from the Past 2014
A short report for this post – just a glimpse of some of the exhibits you can see as part of the Power from the Past event that is currently taking place at Beamish. I haven’t been able to venture from the Colliery but there are working displays around the Museum including logging and threshing as well as a period agricultural dealers and other activities.
There will be a gallery of images from the event in due course, but to kick things off, here are a few highlights including a number of new (to us and in the real sense) traction engines, Mary Margaret on a fairly epic road train of agricultural machinery, No.18 making its working public debut and the narrow gauge providing fun for both visitors and crews alike!

Me and my son had a great time at Beamish today. When the place is humming with activity it’s a great pleasure to wander around and soak up the atmosphere.
What we like the most is the heavy machinery.. Some photos of the day are here:

Thanks a lot and we may even come back tomorrow!
