May Photo Charter in Pictures…

We recently hosted a two-day photographic charter organised by David Tillotson, who kindly supplied the images used in the gallery below.  For those who haven’t come across these before, they are a session arranged and paid for by photographers in order to have more control of the environment – so avoiding modern visitors and distractions in their photographs.  Usually, therefore, these take place outside of usual opening hours, and over the years they have contributed useful income to the Museum operation as well as providing a showcase for our collections in arrangements not always easy to capture.

As can be seen below, we created numerous scenarios for the photographers (around 35 in number), including, I think, the first appearance of Barford & Perkins A Series in any photo charter anywhere!
