Peter Barlow sent through a couple of photographs of Rambler departing the workshop under its own ‘steam’ – actually, air! You can see the airline in the second photograph. Apparently Aveling used air as standard practice for moving new engines from the erecting shops to the paintshop in Rochester, Kent.

Below: Needless to say all of the timberwork needs replacing as it is full of rot. The trolley originally supported a Lister D and drive mechanism for shaft driving agricultural machinery.
