Whilst the GNSF has been the foremost preoccupation over the last few days, other projects have been proceeding. Bob Whetham sent these photos of coach 58A being moved for loading at Fort Steele. It had been wrapped in the dry of the shed but it is under there! Pictured of Dunrobin’s departure appeared in an earlier post, but you may have missed them in the jumble of GNSF images…

Below: Newcastle 114’s repaint is drawing to conclusion with the aluminium leaf applied and edged in black. The motor is due this week but the hoped for Easter debut will be missed and as a number of us will be on holiday in coming weeks, 114’s entry into service may not be immediate. Hopefully it will be wheeled/trucked next week though.
