This evening we took delivery of the Quarry Hunslet ‘Edward Sholto’ – it is anticipated that the locomotive will be in action this coming weekend for our enhanced transport weekend.

The anticipated operation of Blackpool 304, the Coronation tram, will not take place this weekend as the tram is still awaiting a haulage slot to reach us.  No.18 Lewin is still being tested, and was in steam today but will not play a role in the weekend operations as some key components have been removed for fettling.  However, Coffee Pot will be in steam alongside the narrow gauge and hopefully some road steam.  There will also be an appearance, weather permitting, by the two Dene motorcycles and the SOS bus.  There will be one more enhanced performance weekend after this one, in November, before we drain everything down for the winter.
