A gallery of 1970s Beamish images added to transport blog…

A new gallery of 1970s transparencies has been added to the blog – under the heading ‘galleries’ in the menu bar.  I’ve added captions to the collection, which comes from Phil Brown, and which he has kindly allowed us to scan and add to the archive.  Some of the typing is a bit ropey – blame my ailing laptop at home which has several keys out of action!  Also, the presentation is less than ideal but we are continuing to discover the limitations of WordPress and what we can do with it – not least is assumption of viewing on a laptop screen and ratio.  We are looking at this so please don’t worry if you find the gallery a little messy in appearance to start with – we’re not very happy with the appearance and the lack of user-friendly features either!  Hopefully the content more than makes up for this and there are some fantastic images dating back to 1970 and showing just how much change has occurred at Beamish over the years.  As a flavour, here are some shots from the collection…
