More GNFoT exhibits confirmed…

The entrants for the Great North Festival of Transport are still being confirmed – you can see an updated gallery in the relevant post (which I’ll try and make more prominent on the site), meanwhile here are a few snippets to give readers an idea of some of the diversity of what we can expect…  There are lots of entrants confirmed, so these galleries can only serve as a flavour of what will be seen in action out and about around the Museum during the festival…

Below: We have confirmed that the narrow gauge locomotives this April will be ‘Isabel’, a Bagnall 0-4-0ST from the Amerton Railway making a rare visit away from its base, and our regular visitor, ‘Peter Pan’ who by way of various low-loader moves finds himself at Beamish once again!  Both will appear over the full GNSF and also the weekend of the Edwardians at Play weekend, Isabel being in steam from the Friday through to Sunday (the pair arrive on the Thursday evening of the event).  You can read more about Isabel at the Amerton Railway website: http://amertonrailway.co.uk/

Below: The variety of exhibits on the road steam side  will be our best display yet – here are just a few of those attending the Great North Steam Fair weekend (plus one car!)…
