Samson… *Updated*
Just a little preview of Samson in the sunshine earlier today… More on this in due course.
Below: A photo to mimic the one that started it all…
Below: There are still jobs to do, paint to tidy up and the commissioning to complete, but Samson today became the latest new steam locomotive to run in the UK, 142 years after the original first ventured out in County Durham…
This looks fantastic! well done to all involved!
Fantastic machine, is there a video and can we borrow it?
that is the Loco, not the video!
Great job, well done to all concerned! What a lovely locomotive. Here’s wishing Samson a long and happy life at Beamish.
Wow – an absolutely incredible sight to see. Great work all involved! Hope to see it in the metal soon…trip to the Hush in the not too distant?
Thanks Munk – I know this project is particularly special to you given your connections with the original locomotive…
Fantastic!
looking splendid. The green paintwork is very nice!
True engineering skills, who said steam is dead.
All the very best to the time and patience of those who make things possible.
A lasting legacy for the future.
Wouldn’t it be great to see Samson running on rails at the Cornish Hush once again!!
