No.18’s last day in steam – more photos…
Here are some more images and a film of No.18’s last day in steam yesterday – David Watchman filmed these for our social media platforms, and they are somewhat better than my own efforts with an increasingly aged and grubby iphone (though this is due to be upgraded shortly so I hope readers will see the difference in image quality!).
Hi Paul, hope you are well.
Can’t believe Lewin has come to the end of its boiler certificate, doesn’t seem that long since it first ran.
Hopefully we can return to normal and enjoy the usual annual events again.
We have been busy since 2021 summer, a couple of good gala events and Christmas operation. Closed now until April, due to necessary infrastructure works, including replacement of the footbridge at Kidderminster. Just finished shunting all of the train sets back to normal formation, mix of compartment and open coaches, including the buffet carriage.
Hopefully see you soon, regards Nigel.
Wonderful to see her back under steam and mobile. I will try and visit in the coming months, better weather. Thanks for the chance to view.
