Gateshead 10’s test running continues, and here is proof of its ventures out onto the Tramway as it accumulates mileage and adjustments continue to the braking system.  The list of remaining jobs is now very short, and once the various door furniture components arrive and are fitted, we can start to think about the final commissioning and entry into passenger service after a decade’s absence.  There are currently no adverts being carried – this mirrors the mid 1930s condition of the tram, when captured by a number of photographers with black/dark blue roof advertising boards.  It is interesting to note how quickly the dust accumulates too – with a thorough wash being due…
