Today the Y7 had it’s first steaming at Beamish. Following a lengthy and gentle warming plus a thorough inspection By Stuart Hines, the engine made its first moves at the Museum. It made one round trip, carried out some light shunting then was bedded down for the night. We can now concentrate on getting to know it and ironing out some small issues.
