T&I News Week 33 2015
As there are a number of other detailed reports appearing, this week’s T&I news is a shorter one.
Below: The new entrance board to the station area is complete and looks very well after installation – for the first time we have some indication of what lies beyond the gateway!
Below: The coal merchants has received the last of its enamel signs and is to have some internal attention soon too.
Below: Inside the RMS the Duke’s Saloon 58A is progressing, with paintwork being rubbed back and work on the underframe evident in this view.
Below: Back outside, the yard crane has received some structural repairs as well as a full repaint.
As well as the main station buildings, the signals are being repainted, numerous details overhauled/refurbished and so it will leave the footbridge (east end) for the winter plus some work to tidy up the weeds growing around the track. The water tower is now in use and some detailing is required in the servicing area for both operational and appearance’s sake.
